Commitment to accessibility
Blue Sky Medic Ltd is committed to improving accessibility and usability within the Codara platform.
Codara is used by healthcare professionals and operational staff within NHS and healthcare environments. We recognise the importance of ensuring that digital clinical systems are accessible, usable, and inclusive for all users.
Our mobile applications are currently available on iOS and Android devices. Accessibility considerations are incorporated into ongoing platform design and development activities, and we are committed to continuing to improve accessibility over time.
Current accessibility support
Codara currently supports a number of accessibility features provided by the underlying mobile operating systems, including:
iOS accessibility features
- Dynamic Type / larger system text sizes;
- Zoom;
- Classic Invert;
- Smart Invert.
Android accessibility features
Support for equivalent Android accessibility and display features may vary depending on device manufacturer and Android version.
Ongoing accessibility improvements
We are continuing to develop and improve accessibility within the platform and are working towards alignment with recognised accessibility good practices and applicable standards where reasonably practicable.
Areas of ongoing consideration include:
- readability and text scaling;
- interface clarity and contrast;
- compatibility with platform accessibility tools;
- usability across different device sizes and configurations;
- accessibility testing as the platform evolves.
As the platform develops, additional accessibility features and compatibility improvements may be introduced.
