What this is
Cyber Essentials Plus is a UK Government-backed cybersecurity certification scheme, operated by the IASME Consortium on behalf of the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). It certifies that an organisation has the five core technical controls in place to protect against the most common internet-based cyber attacks.
Unlike the self-assessed Cyber Essentials, the "Plus" tier requires an independent, hands-on technical audit carried out by a certified assessor. Certification is renewed annually.
