What this is
The Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) is an online self-assessment tool, published by NHS England, that allows organisations to measure their performance against the National Data Guardian's data security standards. Any organisation with access to NHS patient data and systems must complete it annually.
An assessment outcome of "Standards Exceeded" is the highest tier available and indicates that an organisation has gone beyond the mandatory baseline requirements.
